magnaflow exhaust.. 1 yr later

so i got a deal on a magnaflow exhaust on ebay over a year ago.. about 400 shipped to my house.. it was brand new at the time .. About a month ago the resonator started to rattle. I took it to my mechanic and he said i need a new one.. I dont have any of the info to register the exhaust so now im feeling outta luck.. Is there any way I could possibly get magnaflow to cover this? If not. does anyone know the part number for the peice that replaces the cat converter?

How does the magnaflow exhaust sound? Looking into them.
As for your problem, since ebay isn't an official carrier of magnaflow, you might have a problem. I would maybe try and call magnaflow directly and tell them your story. They'll be able to give you the part number for the resonator at least.

Call up magnaflow they maybe able to tell you what resonator you need to replace the bad one. The complete system you have is most likely part number 16619 (2.5" system)

I had the same problem. The rattling sounded terrible.

It took a long time and a lot of bitching but magnaflow eventually sent me a complete new system. I made the mistake of buying from a no-name vendor and they didnt help at all. I started by going to their web site and looking up the number for services and going from there.

Good luck
