sorry thought it was the 2.2 section for some reason but either way, still a downgrade for an LSJ

And yes a 2.4 SS

Size of piping isn't everything. A 3 inch without the power will be less effective (torque) than a 2.5 or even a 2.25

Regaurdless, magnaflow is a nice product! Either way you can't go wrong but if your looking for more power in the future, go with magnaflow!

they gave the 2.0 LSJ motor 2.5 inch for a reason. Why would u go from 2.5 inch to 2.25? that just leaves less modding potential later on.

Then went back and made a 2.25 for the same motor. I can see your point though, all depends on what your doing. I plan to stay below 300 whp, so if I see the 12 whp gain, then its an upgrade for me.

i seriously doubt you will. i can see on a 2.2 motor, seeing as that exact exhuast works on the 2.2. I doubt you will get any gains from that exhaust on an LSJ motor

so how do you explain this? There are many others who say they have gains too.

most people that get there car dynoes usually get it tuned, also doing boltons without tuning for them after wont net much gains if any. So im fairly sure after they did the exhuast, they also tuned the car for it. But tuning the car with the stock exhuast would have also netted gains,

If you like the exhuast then get it, but i would never spend hundreds of dollars on a catback that is SMALLER then what was put on by the factory

"12 hp from GMPP Performance exhaust!

I ran my car stock and ran it again after the GMPP Performance catback install.
Huge thanks to Tom at http://crateenginedepot.com for the awesome deals and service. Keep an eye for the next group buy on these."

I went through his original post (and quite a few more) and no where does it mention a tune. It is a strictly before and after exhaust install.

What does the cti axle back sound like? all you really need on the stock catback is over the axle where it dips to 2.25". I have the magnaflow and like the sound there's a slight drone in 5th but I put down some noise absorber for that plus im old(23) dont like it loud.
