Exclamation Major Power loss...HELP!!!

ok, i have an '05 LSJ SC...intake, exhaust...thats it. it seemed to happen when i put the intake on. first gear WOT...2 psi... second...2-4psi... third...4-6psi... fourth...6-7.5psi... fifth...7.5psi. im guessing its a slipping belt, because my regulator is working fine. i have NO tune, and am throwing EVAP, MAP, MAF and an O2 sensor codes...these were all active before i put the intake on...what i would like to know is:

Is this my belt?
Can i test my belt somehow?
if not my belt or my tensioner, what else could it be?

PLEASE HELP...this is driving me CRAZY!!!!

You will hear if your belt is slipping.

Did you do the boost bypass mod? If your car is put into limp mode it will limit boost, is it in that?

I would fix all your other codes before even starting with the boost problem. What exactly are the codes in numbers?

If it's the belt, wouldn't it Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek and then Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek more as you build more boost?

ok, so i cant hear the belt slipping, but would it really squeak if its only slipping under full throttle? i tried the boost bypass mod, and still no change, i watched the regulator as my buddy hit the throttle, it closes completely. its not in "limp in" mode, because nothing is consistent through all the gears, and i still have power through the first half of each gear, boost climbs in each gear as described above, then tapers off. it almost feels the same as my srt4 when i had a boost leak, but thats obviously not going to be the problem here. the other codes all should be able to be fixed with a tune. also this is completely inconsistent, this morning on the way to work i was able to get slightly more boost than yesterday...all signs point to a slipping belt, but i dont hear a squeak.

Why do you say its not a boost leak, wouldnt that throw off your maf, map and evap? all pressure related items, and you say you changed the intake. something loose?

the only place for a boost leak is the intake manifold, and one severe enough to lose me 10psi of boost, i would think would effect the vehicle at idle...but its something to look into. its pouring rain here so i will have to wait for a little sunshine.

its a good place to start, you dont have to get new gaskets to test it to0, just get the copper spray gasket and coat both sides of the gasket.

random note, what movie is your sig from?

ok, so i closed the boost bypass, and im still barely making boost...that means that it has to be the belt, boost leak, or internal SC problems...right?

same way the tc guys do, make or buy a leak tester, rubber coupler with a bike tube valve at the end cap, clamp this over the TB, charge it with air and spray the leak points, manifold to block, m62 etc etc with soapy water and look for bubbles.

If I were you this is what I would do, buy the copper spray PERMATEX 80697 Copper SPRAY-A-GASKET Hi Temp Adhesive Sealant $8.95 BUY ONLINE, take the m62 off and intake mani, spray the intake mani to block gasket, Im to SC gasket and see if that fixes it, other then that theres not alot else were it could leak. and if that all doesnt do it then go off your theroy and get a new belt, and check the tensioner.

random couple of side notes, even on 6 psi i was still running doors with a new camaro ss, and i was talking to a friend of mine in champaign, and he has a buddy who has been under the impression since he bought his cobalt, that 7 psi is completely normal and has been running that way for a couple years.

is your boost gauge faulty? I saw a post a while ago about low boost and turns out the boost gauge was broken
