Blocking the silencer holes MIGHT make the SC louder but without overspinning it like most people I dont think its gonna be as loud. Also having an open wastegate dump covers it up.

AGP 5757B with a 1.06 A/R. I had some packaging challenges so didn't want to risk going to a bigger frame turbo possibly causing a cascade of changes.

I recommend painting that turbine housing with VHT header paint. If you follow the instructions it holds up really well and you avoid the gross rusty turbine housing look.

I cerakote ceramic coated the last turbine housing, only to find it was extremely hot and everything around it was going through hell. I put the DEI blanket back on and it rubbed off the ceramic coating. I like the blankets, I can touch the top of the blanket after everything is heat soaked, they work quite well. I think a heat shield would work well with a coated turbine housing so you don't ruin the finish.

I have VHT in stock, but if the ceramic coating rubbed off I assumed VHT wouldn't stand a chance. I can experiment though it's not going to hurt except my nostrils for the first 20 minutes burning it in.

I baked mine in a shop oven im pretty sure because the instructions say to. That is probably one of the reasons it held up so well for me.

The cerakote was baked on too, I went all out with following the instructions but I can try out VHT and baking and see what happens.

Be careful, you're going to have to pray to the German gods now, putting parts meant for a VAG on a GM

Mocked up the SC side to get the belt on, I moved to a stock diameter balancer and at the same time dropped the SC pulley size. The serpentine belt needed a rib removed and I had to modify the belt tensioner so that I could un-tension it just enough to slip the belt on.
