And Hahn's the exhaust i want to run, but their DP isn't 3". Just not sure if the stock DP will hold me back on the TVS.
Prototype for the defunct GMracing header.

Hahns DP is 2.75" IIRC, because its the RandomTech piece, which is VERY nice.

actually i think it can be super slick, but i have yet to see one on a cobalt

if the exit was more like a flat rectangle like some of the 2000~ camaros muffler tips were, it would look good

I take it you have never heard the side exhaust in person..... Its a bit loud...... People seem to only temporarily run it... then sell it. Not to mention the clearance issues it causes.

clearance is not an issue, you can get oval piping that takes a 2.5" pipe to 1.75" high

run a good resonator and muffler and do it properly and it won't be any louder than anything else on the market. if space is a concern you can install the resonator on the downpipe and put a long bullet muffler where the resonators usually are

there's ways to do almost anything, but it takes some sincere thought and 42 braincells. you can't just say hey i'll replace the resonator with a muffler and bend the pip so it runs out the side and it's gonna be FTMFW!

1.75'' below the factory body is still a clearance issue... If you are lowered forget about it.

not 1.75" below the side skirts silly goose, 1.75" under the car, the side skirt edges hang down further but no reason to get into semantics, so you win, 1.75" thick exhaust is too low for anyone to use.

its not too low to use, its just not practical. If someone made a beveled sideskirt for a sidepipe it would bring it up a bit. I know the cars a drivable with the side exit. Its just not for everyone.
