What's the max safe boost for the LSJ on stock internals?
I tried search and got a bunch of irrelevent ****, and its 4am so my brain isnt running on all 3 cylinders...

 

stock boost levels are around 12.5, i was getting 13/13.5 and my car was stock, except injen intake and gmpp cat back. my boost guage was also correct. now im pushing around 15/16 and id say stock would be around 19? or maybe more? i know some TVS guys who are running around 20psi on stock internals. if it was me and was gonna do tvs, id be building mine up to hold power since i already have 70k on my car.

i've seen 24 with the tvs on stock internals

 

also depends on how you abuse your car, if you are on the gas all the time, doing hard pulls all the time ect. then i wouldnt give it long till something goes *poof* lol. if you DD it and do a few pulls here and there and are conservitive about it, then id say your good.

 

depends on your tune and power adder... 20lbs on a M62 is no where near the same powre as 20lbs from a Precision 6262

 

^troof power can vary a lot on the same boost

 

lol you cant put a # to it all depends on way too many variables

 

^indeed, exhaust is the one the easiest/most commonly changed variables that will effect it

 

This. Im hittin 17/18 on stock exhaust. When i get an aftermarket exhaust it will go down.

 

Oh ok, thanks guys. Ive gotten up to 18 pounds of boost, and I wanted to know if that was safe or not. Its my DD and I dont get on the gas that much, so I'm okay.

 

 

 

i've hit 22-23 with in the last couple weeks with out my tune being dialed in no problems, running strong like bull
