maxing boost gauge with 2.9

Whats up guys,

I am hitting over 20 psi(according to boost gauge and 20.4 on intercepter) with my 2.9 I know that this is not possible so what could be the problem? A guy I know said vacuum leak. so should i get some carb cleaner and spray the lines until it idles up or what?

thanks in advance

make sure your intercooler pump is working...mine gauge would hit up to 20psi while huffing non-intercooler air into the motor...put in a new pump, and only saw 17 from then on with a 2.85 pulley

a muffler shop, is not allowed by the state to remove a cat from a car that came with one from the factory if they are e-check certified(meaning that an e-check station will recommend them to you to fix your problem)

If you want to go cat-less let me know and I will get you hooked up. There are only 2 shops that will do that around here that I know of. An they both are the best in town.

sometimes the loudness gets annoying tho. i had a 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust on my turbo scion tc. it sounded bad ass, but got annoying just driving around after a while.
