mecanic or electric gauge

my boost gauge is in KPA beacause I lived in Canada and I want to change in psi so I want to know if the original gauge in my cobalt was electric on mecanic and what is the size. For example 2 1/16" (52.4mm)

I want this model do you think it will fit..

http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...earch&gid=3458

thanks

you can put any gauge you want but

No other gauge other the the stock one will plug into the GM conector

FI you want plug and play you'll need to keep the stock one. Maybe you cna talk to your dealer aboot that.

But honestly a mechanicla gaudge would be the better performing gaudge if your gonna spree for a automeeter gauge might as well make it perform better than the stocker did.

Look into the Aeroforce gauge. I got mine from Intense Racing and it is in PSI plus does a whole lot more. There is splicing involved so it is not a complete direct fit. There is a how-to for it in that section.

The orignal gauge is electric and specific to the GM PCM, it's a PWM based gauge, I think getting the American PSI based gauge would do the job like yangee says.

not sure, but you might be able to simply change the background of the readings. Just take it apart, scan the background and change values by dividing everything by 6.895. As for the mechanical gauge I have one running off the boost bypass line. Although it gives a lower reading than the one I get in HP Tuners.

The gauge is a one piece unit yyou can't take it apart.
