metal grinding sound

metal grinding sound

im getting a metal grinding sound from my drivers front axle area. When i put my foot on the clutch it goes away. There is a small vibration also. I think i have a another axle going bad but any thoughts?

does it do it in neutral when standing still? or does it do it when your driving?

when driving but if im moving and put my foot on the clutch it stops and then continues when i take my foot off the clutch

the outer hub was bad on the axle as i found out when i pulled the car into the garage and the grinding went a away after a pop and the car wouldn't move!
