meth instal HELP

i am installing my ais meth kit and had a question.....i would ask AIS but they are closed and i am anxiouse....i have the stage one fender kit and im taping into the stock washer fluid resvoir...i was told by AIS that the pump has to be as low as the lowest point of the tank...the stock tank is all the way at the bottom of car so there is no real place to position it....i am confused because i have seen pics of people just bolting the pump up high by the upper engine mount to use with stock tank...is this going to be ok or is it essential for the pump to be lower than the tank...i would really like to put it there bby the strut tower but if i must place it low im thinking behind the front bumper frame piece infront of the radiator...

so can i put it on the strut tower above the tank level

Yea, you should be able to, they mean that the tap in the tank needs to be at the lowest level, this way it gives you the most time and less chance of running the system dry, which could damage your car if you tune for the meth.

i think they want you to mount it low to aid in the priming of the pump.

Yea, as long as the tap is below the water line of the tank (hence why you install it as low as possible) your pump will be able to prime and run fine, regardless of where you mount it.

it would be benificial to have the pump mounted as low or lower than the fluid level when close to empty. most pumps of this nature, like automotive electric fuel pumps, are designed to push, not suck. if the pump loses prime, its hard for it to pick the fluid up.

crap...thats exactly what i was worried about

now would the force from all the liquid in the tank, force liquid all the way up the tube to the pump even if it is higher than the level of the tank....because there is more liqued in tank so there would be more pressure?...would this be true or no

no the fluid will only come as high as the level in the tank, it wont force it higher.

many people run their cars ike that without issues. its not ideal, but does work.
