Meth Nozzle Placement

Hey everyone, I plan on buying the devils own stage 1 kit and I am wondering where people are placing their nozzles BEFORE the supercharger. I was going to buy the zzp throttle body spacer with the meth tap but I heard that it's better to place it further back in the intake piping because it has less of a syphoning effect. Anyone know if it really makes a difference? Would the check valve be enough or would i need to run a solenoid?

Definitely run a check valve and just get a throttle body spacer from ZZP

There are a variety of placement methods.

The preferred placement method is pre supercharger; allowing maximum atomization and cooling.

If you aren't looking to spend a lot, this article offers a good bit of information.

Thanks for the help, debating running it from the trunk or tapping the washer tank. How did everyone that is running from the trunk get the wires to the engine bay? Drill a hole in the trunk to run the lines through?

Can a case be made for running post blower? I was thinking a double tap on the IM with 2 nozzles or even the zzp blower spacer with the 2 ports. I know the m62s are cheap and bfd if the coating peel off or the needle bearings spin, but has any cobalt owner tested pre and post blower logging?

I'm buying hrrfreeks AIS kit, not against pre blower at all just wondering if similar IATs could be achieved with a dual nozzle post blower setup.

It's the same result; your only creating more work

Pre blower atomizes the mixture better, and cools the blower.

^this. He's the expert plus there's a lot of people that have run their m62's for a few years with meth pre blower and still have all the coating on their rotors and the bearings are fine

Running it pre blower also saves some heat wear and tear on teh blower itself I would guess.

How did you get the lines to exit the trunk? Drill a hole or use a pre-existing one. I was going to just tap the washer fluid tank but i want everything to be accessible.

THere are holes in the floor that are sealed with little metal tabs like a heftier version of the seal on a bottle of pills. lol Pull that one out and you can run your line from teh trunk outside underneath the car.

You think this would be effective on the stock plastic intake or am I better off just buying the ZZP throttle body spacer? I don't have an aftermarket intake and don't really plan on getting one.

I would just buy the spacer.... I've tapped the plastic intake before, but then you have a hole in your oem intake.

One guy I know tapped the underside of the blower itself between the TB and the bypass plate.
