Meth Progression equals more gains?

Looking to find out from some that have played with different progressive rates and nozzel sizes. On my 3rd attempt to make higher #'s on the 2.7 pulley and a meth kit with 3gph nozzel pumpn 60/40ish type mix i was able to make 287.3whp. Now Im not progressing this meth shot. That is my question will progressing a 5gph nozzel and having it come on at like 6-8lbs net any more gain. Im at 23* and 11.5 afr. My iats'2 are stable at 140ish with a non progressive setup coming on at 13lbs. Would a 2.6 beth worth fighting more heat? Any suggestions be great.**M62 ONLY **

From my understanding...and this is what i expeirence on my car. Turning the meth progession up via the controller or switching to a bigger nozzle wont gain you any numbers under normal conditions. Now, that being said, if you have a 2.6 pulley and with the current set up (3gph and whenever it comes on) if the computer is retarding timing due to the heat, increasing the nozzle size will stop the retarded timing and will allow you to have higher numbers which would already be there if it wasnt for the heat. Make sence?

And in some cases, increasing your nozzle size could infact lower your hp. If your timing is set to 23* and your afr is, lets say. 11.9....it would make more power going to say 12.2....but with the bigger nozzle your actually going to go richer...probably 11.5, so infact you would be loosing power (all depends on your tune)

I was thinking just buying a meth controller and haveing it come on much sooner an tailoring the afr to suite may inturn make more power cuz with the sooner meth activation=cooler iat'2. Idk, Im not going for a pure dyno queen number but i am wanting to get what I can out of the mods i have. If I can get 290 out of a 2.7 setup, it may be worth going to 2.6 if i can fig a way to keep the iat's stable or hopefulley lower.

Depending when u want to turn it on, it wont make a difference. Your blower isnt greating alot of heat on the low end...its more up top. So having your meth come on any sooner wont do much. Like i said, if your running a set up now and it isnt retarding timing, then changing to a bigger nozzle and having the meth come on sooner wont do anything except use up more meth/water in your tank. It may lower the IAT2 temps by a few degree's but it wont give u any extra power, unless you advance your timing more.

Thats where people get confused with meth, they think just spraying it will give them power like nitrous...there wrong. It allows the cooler temps so u can advance your timing. Now if u want to run a bigger nozzle, have it come on sooner, adjust your afr to be leaner and advance the timing then yes, u may gain a few hp.

Ger a progressive controller set it for 10lbs and tune ure afrs and ure timing map for best resultsafr wise start midrange like say 11.5 then progress it to 12.0 or a tad leaner

2.6 is a hit or miss, some people blow their engines, some dont. Some people make more power with it, some dont....imo, 2.6 isnt worth it....2.8 or 2.7 is as low as i would go.
