Mid-length or Long tube header?????

I'm trying to put a parts list together so I can just order everything all at once. I'm trying to decide between the ZZP mid-length header and the OTTP long tube header. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

I heard the ottp is a really nice part. However I would say out of the two though zzp is the best bang for the buck. Now there are other companies you can go with like vibrant or clearimage but they are ofcourse more expensive but the build quality is top notch. I have a 4-1 midlength header from clearimage and I luv it. Delivers noticable power and tq and sounds great at wot!

All you need is a good shorty header with big primaries and a big collector.

This.

I have the Clear Image one as well, and it's a fantastic piece of hardware.

depends on your setup if your planning on getting a tvs, then the ottp longtube will be your best bet for better gains if not then go with the zzp mid length

I plan on keeping the M62 for a while and maybe eventually do a turbo build. But right now I'd like to see how far I can push the stock S/C. So with that in mind, you guys are recommending a shorty or mid-length?? What are some decent companies that make quality shorty headers??

There is absolutely no proof the OTTP long tube will produce better gains than the other setups that can be had for far cheaper. No one has ever dynoed the long tube header (including OTTP), to make this a valid statement.

thats right, they just have a great marketing (lot of people talk good about them), they have great produtcs that you cant find other place but they shipping is HORRIBLE. i still waiting for a tvs pulley i bought like for 3 month and they just keep ignoring me or giving excuse.

just to clarified im not saying that the long tube header is good or bad couse i dont have it, but it sure looks great, and i have severals of their products and are great. but i always have problem with their custumer service.

IMOO go with zzp mid, pacesetter or good shorty.

sorry guys not to thread jack but what would you guys go with if you were in my situation. I plan on going tvs in the future. I want a header and downpipe and want the downpipe to be a 3in with a 3in outlet because i already have the 3in hahn catback. What header/dp is gonna sound great with my hahn and give me decent gains, as well as be 3in dp?

I have the CTI Race Header and it is plenty enough, there really isn't a diference with the ottp header with the mid lenght. Get 1 7/8 primaries and a 3 in collector.

right now i have the zzp header and downpipe combo with 1.75" primaries and 3" dp to a 2.5" outlet and i definately felt the difference in the powerband! i didn't even change my tune after intalling and i felt a noticeable difference... only problem i had was i did the bolts up too tight between the header and the dp and bent them to make the whole in between them...so basically get them just past snug and not so tight that it will bend the flanges
