Wink Might sound stupid but just curious....

What about a ram air mod into the supercharger?

Like a straight up filter on the intake? haha

I think it would be interesting. But please somebody shoot me down so i can change my mind. =) With logical reason of course.

Pointless, the super is already ramming this **** out of that air.

Like a straight up filter on the intake

Two different things. I dont think you would be able to close the hood on your car and it would be sucking pure hot air off of the engine.

Both are pointless or everyone would have done it. Besides ram air hoods dont work very well at speeds above like 10 miles an hour because the air is just wipping over the car, kinda like why you dont get snow on your windshield when your at cruising speed and its snowing.

it would be a major hassle since youd have to re-calibrate your car 100% since the MAF sensor would be in a radically different place.

Ram air is basically trying to get the air pressurized so that you get a denser charge as its goes into your engine. Denser air means more oxygen molecules so you can add a bit more fuel so you make more power. The maximum amount of "boost" you might get with ram air in a car under 150 mph with the type of hood scoop that is generally used is maybe .5-1psi if that.

You ever notice your boost gauge getting to I don't know 10 times that amount?

There is no such as a stupid question.

Take out the drivers side foglight. Straight shot to the filter. If you wanted ram air, seal off that corner of the fender to be as airtight as possible (duct tape would work), you will have the closest to ram air as you could get.
