misfire/power steering *update*

started the car up today.. let it run for awhile since it was cold drove it around.. got to school. let it sit for about a hour. came back out went to start it and the vac went from ~-20 to +1 then back down to -15 and started to do a rough idle.. i just figured it was a awkward start up..

well i went to pull away and the car had no power at all.. wouldnt go above 2000rpm and just sounded bad..

so i pulled over. tried to rev it a little to see what i could hear and it seriously sounded like it was 2 stepping at 3k.. shut the car off. disconnected the batt for about 5 mins to try to get it to reset. started up. seemed fine. reved it.. same deal but this time i could get it to rev 4-5k but missed hard. let it sit again.. reved one more time... went all the way to 6k no problem no misfire..

drive home i decided to stop at my work (oreillys) to grab some seafoam. turned it off.. came back from buyin it.. started it up. same deal. misfire wont go above 2k and this time the power steering flashed up on the screen.... played around for awhile like i did at school. finally got it to stop missing and drove home with no issue.....

any ideas? lol

If it was the cat or tb, wouldnt the symptoms/problem be present all the time?

GM actually replaced the TB ~10k ago for some reason.. but ill check it out.. and then the cat should be fine.. its a high flow magna flow with bout 20k on it. ive had a couple clogged cats in my time..

if he decides to junk it let me know.. ill buy it and fix it. i lost ur number.. so if you still need the puller just hit me up when ever

update...

ran the seafoam thru the car.. seemed to help it out... as far as the missing..

now i shut down and restarted a couple times everything seems to be running correctly but now it pops up with power steering alert everytime. though. im not having any issue with it that i can tell..

pull the code and find out what cylinder the misfire is occuring on, pull that injector swap it to another cylinder and see if the problem follows it
