i will sell you a pulley boyz 3" piece pulley that looks like the stock pulley. I ran the pulley on stock tune and injectors for a year with 0 problems. $30 shipped.

I think your cure for that would be to just use your right foot for reducing the boost in 1st.

Reflash we speak of resets several different tables for the "Stage 2" tune through GM. Also ups the revs to 7K.

I'm kinda confused as to what you want to achieve out of the car. You wanna up the revs because you hit redline too quick? And why are you wanting to reduce boost in 1st gear? Because of wheel hop or just because of tire spin?

raising the rev limiter is a good idea for drag racing cause you dont have to shift into 4th at the end of the 1/4...

no my issues werent fixed. the car is in pieces right now...

and def cool it down its cheap and good for the car and you

Uhm.... reduce it a little more as you go higher in the rpm range.. start at like 50 go down to like 25... i have NO tire spin if i do it right...

if your dragging, and your tuning right.. theres nothing wrong with a 7250 rev limit... thats what i would want to raise it to... But if your talking about hitting it fast in first gear, then you should just stop... First gear is weird on this car, but you shouldnt worry about it too much, as id want to get outta first as fast as possible...

if your gonna drag race it, id get some inflatable footballs. put them in your rear springs and watch your 60' drop and your 1/4 will follow

He's running with 60's and a 2.85 but when you watch his video, the rear end of the car does no plant because he used inflatable footballs as "spring rubber" which gave him more front end traction. Also, you could look into an ingalls TD. you'll notice a difference in the car.

Hatrickstu mod is the inflatable footballs in the rear springs(no lie). It keeps the back end of the car up in the air so you have less weight transfer to the rear of the car giving you more grip on launch. You can find the Ingalls Torque Dampener on pretty much any of our supporting vendorss' sites. I got mine from Turbo Tech Racing for like $160. Your shifts will feel smoother...a lot smoother, and your wheel hop will be reduced dramatically.

I use mobil 1 only because that is the oil from factory. I've heard royal purple is just as good. Matter of opinion.

As for getting the footballs in...I have no idea...I think you put them in when they are flat, then air them up when they are placed inside the springs.

the 2.9 and the 42 pounders arent going to really do anything for you unless you have the retune for the pcm. i bought my stage II kit from crateenginedepot.com for just over 600. it came with the 2.8 pulley, short belt 42 pounders, injector harness, and the retune. you could get it tuned either way though...the tune should unlock close to 30 hp.

there is a thread on here that states royal purple is only good for a few extra ponies, not a good oil for extended oil changes.

-Stay running Mobil 1 5w 30 Synthetic
-Don't worry about going to Stage 2 or farther(Money is an issue)
-Either go with cooling mods cause they are cheap and result in small power gains or go with traction mods. That's pretty much all you're limited to.
