If you can save up for a header and a free flowing cat back system. I have the air box mod ,GM ported header free flow cat and ACR carbon muffler, and tuned by wicked2005. These cars are all about free folw to make HP the smoother and faster you can get air in and out the better and faster your car will run. With the mods I have my car will pull on a GM stage 3 cobalt ss/sc. If anyone wants I have my stock header that I can port if you would like to buy it for $200.

Wait wait wait....

I know Tom is a bad ass tuner and all, but with an opened intake and exhaust you're saying you can pull SS/SC's with GM stage 3 installed? Makes me wonder...

Freak car it is then. There are those...

Anthony, you want more speed? I'm not going to repeat what these gentlemen have already said, but poly inserts and scan gauges aren't gonna do it for you. I'll touch on what other people have already suggested. Cooling mods and breathing.

CX racing heat exchanger $150 + shipping
Single pass intake manifold $???, we'll talk to Rusty's dad and see what he can do
Larger header
Downpipe w/high flow cat
mandrel bent exhaust piping
Light port and polish of supercharger, intake manifold, intake inlets, exhaust outlets
And as always, practice driving. Find your cars sweet spots. Even the best drivers in the world practice driving. There's always room for improvement.

Sure, you can limit the boost in 1st gear, and you can even raise your rev limiter, but why aim for just those two things? When you get tuned, get all you can out of it. However, until that tune gets here, do like the other fellow said and apply a little more control to your right foot. Not saying I'm a better driver than you, but whenever I'm in a race from a dig I try to find that sweet spot in the throttle with as little wheel hop/spinning as possible yet a good amount of acceleration. Not too much, but not too little either. It's something you learn when you practice....

I could go on all night, but I won't. We'll talk more about this when I see you again. I'll answer any questions you have.

He is right practice driving is a big key to things about going fast just do it in a safe way. Look into track days or SCCA Solo events. Hears somthing freaky about my car that makes it fast I can no lift shift my 06 ss/sc!

Did Tom tune for that? Because it's very possible.

I no-lift ****, thanks to the WOT box. To me it helps a lot. People always think my car is an automatic tho...

$450 is a good deal on his exhaust. Hell, he paid that much for the header and downpipe alone! Not including the megan cat back! It's loud but he's gotta silencer for it that works damn good!

And I'm sorry but I laid claim on that nitrous system A LONG TIME AGO. Don't even think about it. ha ha

Something else that helps to get rid of wheel hop and is easy to install is an "Engine torque damper." I bought mine from Gravana and at the time they had a package price with the torque damper and Front and Rear Trans mount bushings (poly). After install the two together eliminated my wheel hop problem altogether. Just a thought...

So technically anybody can no-lift shift.

Only the new Cobalt SS's and people runnin the WOT box can do it with no negative side effects

Yes but it is harder on the ss/sc because there is no cut off in engine power like what the ss/tc do. This cut in power for just a split second makes life on the clutch a lot easyer, what it alows in the ss/sc is to spike boost when shifting. With a stock pully on mine I have seen it spike 15 pounds of boost! This alows a bigger hit in power on the next gear kinda like jump starting the next gear there for you dont slow down for that split second your car should jump forward when hitting the next gear.
