Mp90 3800
will this bolt on to our cars or will it need an adapter ? im fairly certain it will need an adapter and saw a few threads about mp90s workin on our cobalts but will this series 3800 work? found one for a good deal and if so may invest in it
i saw a few threads where some said it was a direct bolton then others saying you need an adapter plate, and some saying it only cost around 600 all together to get done, i can get the SC for about 300
Euthanasia on here makes an adapter plate for it. You also need to have the bypass port on the intake endplate welded shut. MP90 has an internal bypass.
edit- I think you would need a different snout drive then the one from a 3800 but i am no expert.

Buick M90 decidedly NOT a bolt on. Ignoring any drive pulley location issues, here's an M90, no idea what year, with an LSJ gasket lined up at the discharge port for bolt hole reference

the 3rd gen m90 off a 3800 will not work with out some serious modification.
The 4th gen MP90 from magnuson has a universal four bolt design at the outlet.
-1/2" aluminum adapter plate
- inlet adapter too TB
- weld bypass shut (MP90 has an internal one)
- 6 3/4" snout iirc... or was it 6 5/8"...
- minimum of 60 lb injectors required

If you go M90 you want a Gen 5, none of that Gen 3 garbage. A guy on clubgp made an adapter to get you guys' TVS to bolt up and he gained like 40whp. The M90s really not worth it.
