Much gain in tune?
Much gain in tune?
i will be getting a tune on my car soon...i will be getting a hi flow cat then i should have all the performance mods i will be getting for a while....my mods are in sig...should i use the 2.85 in the tuning process? or stick with stage 2 pulley? i still have the 42# injectors...and after i get tuned and say i get a header and downpipe..do i need to get tuned again?
i was gonna get 60# injectors but my dad thinks my car is fast enough and i need to save....
bump.....am i wasting money for the tune or should i do it?

a tune will open up alot on your car, with 42's full bolt ons and smaller pulley you can net some GOOD whp from a GOOD tune.
Dont want those injectors to go static and cause damage at a high rpm!
I would disagree!! a stage 2 with 2.85 pulley puts the 42.5lb/hr injectors at or above 100% duty cycle. I went with the 60lb/hr injectors just for that reason! I would say that a tune and some 60's would be worth in IMO.

well go with a 2.9" pulley...not much difference hp wise, better for the injectors...also if you just had a tuner lean the cars air/fuel ratio out a bit so you are running a 11.2-11.5 that would take down the duty cycle of the injectors a bit as well.
If you have the money to spend go with a tune and 60's. If not just drive the car! I put a year and a half on my stage 2 2.80" pulley setup with no issues!
You shouldnt have to retune after adding exhaust mods! Just go with a 2.9" pulley
