Which Muffler?
dunno....majority (if not all) of the guys are running oval mufflers (in the case of a Magnaflow or Borla or Flowmaster, etc.)........except those that are running fartcans, of course
You'll have to try it to find out & see how it sounds, of course. That's what I had to do.....trial & error my friend
That round style muffler is usually used as a "resonator" though (smaller ones), but it can be used as a muffler by itself though too

ya i guess you're right man, ill have to wait and see...i talked to a magnaflow technician and he said that all their mufflers (including round ones) make a nice, deep, base sound.
i got a question tho- will i need any extra tubes or pipes to install the muffler? weldings not an issue since i mig and tig for a company that produces mufflers- except those are for diesel engines and US military vehicles lol. This however is my first muffler installation and i was wondering if i would need anything else to install it (considering that it is a straight through muffler)
....by looking at my stock muffler, the inlet tube going into the muffler doesnt seem to be lined up with the opening of my bumper- that would mean that once i got my straight round muffler it still wouldnt line up properly with the opening of the bumper, right?
would i need some sort of "s" tube to offset it? or is it just some sort of optical illusion and ill just be able to cut the pipe going to the stock muffler and weld the magnaflow stright to it with no issues? thanks

When they welded mine on.....
They needed a little "S" type pipe to make the muffler sit straight
You might need less of a bend since your muffler is smaller though.....just line it up when you get it and figure out what you need.
But chances are it's not gonna line right up with the bumper cutout perfectly
thanks guys...you have been really helpful. i ordered my muffler on friday..should be in by wednesday
here is the link http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=659 ....what do you guys think?? will it be throaty or ricey? backfire of none?

white rice, eh? lol o well, guess i made mistake...cost me $105 CAD so if i replace it in a few months its not a big deal....cant return it tho since it was a special order...i guess i'll have to see what it turns out like.
That's exactly what I said!!
But Kibosh 3..... you could actually use that as a resonator in your exhaust (replace the stock one--it's garbage) & then buy a different muffler like a Borla Turbo & it'll sound really really good
The stock resonator doesn't do a great job of keeping it 'not so raspy' (when using a aftermarket muffler), and going to a aftermarket resonator should help you out there....so just get a different muffler & you'll have a SWEET sounding exhaust!
