I was driving back from the so cal meet and my car just turned off, I turned it back on and it was koo. Why do you think my car turned off.

 

it happened to me when the car only had 550 miles. i just turned it back and never had an issue with it again.

 

idk take it to the dealer and see if they can find anything

 

I just went over the 36 thousand mile warranty, I got the car used. What should I do?

 

did you hit a bump. do you have key chains. it happened to me twice. when i hit a bump the key turned and engine shut off.

 

I think I did hit the key when I was giving my girl my phone on the freeway, could that have done it?

 

No check engine light?

The 05's had some weird and intermittent issues.

 

nop no check engine light on.

 

My car used to shut off if you unlatched the steering wheel and slammed in down as far as it would go. A reflash fixed that.

 

this happend to me but mine wouldnt start back up so i had to replace the fuel pump fuse

 

thanx. i will look into that. i just hope it is not something expensive.

 

Used to happen to my buddies 05, but nothing was ever found and it hasn't happened in a while. Happend to me on 3 occasions over 2 years, I replaced the crank position sensor and it has been good so far, but only time will tell.

 

...i dont want to know who figured that out

 

Let us know how it turns out. Had a great time btw....the smoke from the fires was real interesting. A first for me.

 

it happened to me a few times usually after hitting a pothole supposedly it is a safety feature thats triggered in case of accdents but going over potholes might shut it off also.

 

Had that happen to me when I hit a bump in the road from unleveled pavement. It was a very aggressive transition in the road and when I hit it I thought I blew both tires and f**ked the front end up. The car shut down but started right back up again.

 

yes if you turn the key to the off position it will cut the car off, if you do not have a CEL or running problems. Then most likely it is nothing at all.
