My Last Thread Everyone Please Help!!!

ok as some of you might know i have been posting on here the past couple days. about my hahn racecraft 3 inch catback that i just got. i will be installing it today with a friend i dont know much about cars but i deff should be able to do this if u guys say its as easy as it is.

i attached 2 pics of the exhaust and it came with a bag i guess with a gasket or spacer of some sort and of course the nuts and bolts and washers. now my question is can anyone give me an easy explaination i can print out or something that i can use so i can do this easilyy and tell me if i have enough parts to put it on. Thanks everyone i really need to get this beast on!!!!!

its really easy man. cut the old exhaust at the bend in the pipe right after the rear twist beam and unbolt the 2 bolts at the cat. Lube the rubber exhaust hangers with wd-40 and they will slide right off, old exhaust off. install new gasket at cat and the exhaust.

exhausts are an easy install. even if you don't understand the directions, you should still be able to do this with none. jack the car up (or on a lift) and have a look. you'll kick yourself for asking, once you see how easy it is.

Can we please? This has gone far enough. I haven't even bought an exhaust or ever done one and I know what to do by now.

and also not to be mean but if you cant pull off the simple mod of a cat back maybe you should pay someone to do it and any future mods.

this is probably the SIMPLEST thing you can do, but i won't be a dick about it. Ok, here ya go. if this doesn't answer it, please, please take it to a shop.

1) get car off the ground somehow, will be easier to work
2) loosen bolts connecting stock exhaust to downpipe (2 or 3 bolts.)
3) exhaust should now be loose, minus the hangers which will just slide off.
4) when you try to take off the stock exhaust, you will see where it needs to be cut. you will think to yourself "damn, how in the **** will i get this over the rear axle." if you don't know what the rear axle is, you will say "Damn. how the **** will i get this over that bar thingy". that's where you cut.
5) the exhaust will now pull right off.
6) take the new exhaust, connect the hangers
7) loosely tighten (i guess that doesn't make sense, but make snug not he-man tight yet) the2 or 3 (can't remember, pretty sure it's 2.) bolts connecting the new exhaust to the downpipe. make sure you use a new gasket, which should have been included. (i think you called it a spacer)
8) put the 2nd pipe on, again fitting everying in the hangers.
9) once it all lines up right, tighten everything.
10) start the bitch up, take it for a test drive.
11) after driving for a while, you may need to re-tighten everything. if you value your fingertips, let the car cool down.
12) that's it.

i'll cover it now, there may be some smoke, and it's probably going to smell like your car is on fire for a while. it's normal. it's the oils burning off of the new pipes.
