My new take on stage kits

Ok so here my new theory on all companies with stage kits and i wanted to see what everyone thought.

There is no reason to buy the GM stage kit besides the warranty beause when HPTuners comes out with the software we will be able to get into the computer and tune it properly anyways. GM reflashing and all that may eb useless with HPtuenrs new software

There is no reason to buy the Rev It Up kit because when its done u will have about $5000 in the first 3 stages alone. (to much for me) but POSSIBLY may be the best kit out there for long term power

The kit to buy is Intense. Because your getting alot of HP out this kit and there not even into the computers yet. Once HPtuners comes out with this Software u will be able to add to the kit that already gives the most HP.

Now im not bashing. im just evaluating. whats everyones opinions. I personally want to go with the GM stage 1 with 2.8. but i think here soon Intense will have there "tricking the computer" problems figured out

I think cracking the PCM will yield the greatest results. GM is still tuning to provide a warranty and emmision standards. Others will be tuning to higher more efficient hp.

This has been argued many times already. Different people want different things from their cars, therefore different companies will sell different products. They all have their pros and cons.

Thumbs up

this in my opinion is bashing......

people buy different kits for different needs...

GM kits = warranty, 7k redline, a bump in hp and TQ, helps bring power out of other mods..

Rev it up= a person who doesnt give a flip about a warranty, SPEED and POWER nothing else..

Intense= a person who doesnt give a flip about a warranty,SPEED and POWER, with a easy to tune MAF-T

HP TUNERS= no warranty, great tuning, can be tuned for specific mods, more power

my 2 cents

in my opinion while i know that their are kits that produce more HP but i have to be concerned about my warranty. and i would rather have my pcm reprogrammed than have a MAF wired in. after the PCMs code is cracked and aftermarket guys get their hands on it i will consider going aftermarket. plus one benefit i think of getting the stage 2 is the smaller belt that way i can run a smaller pulley without worrying about slippage and if i want to go really small i can use the other tricks out there to pick up any slack from that point on. im still very new to this forced induction method of producng HP (i used to have an old camaro) but i think im in love with my little 2 liter and i want it to run for at least the 36000 mile warranty i have on it. i cant afford for my car to require large amounts of out of pocket repairs. like i said just my 2 cents.... i wish i could throw caution to the wind and really make this thing a supercharged little monster but im just a poor college student so maybe after graduation......lol.

That is a good example of what Venom said.

I think the MAF-T now has an adapter harness from Intense.

My 2 cents. GM Stage 2 is keeping me and others quite happy for now. I got bigger injectors with it, so when HP Tuners does come out with a flash or programmer, I can use this and the 2.8" pulley or smaller to do the same as you did with the Intense kit. Plus I didn't have to use a MAF-T or and injector harness, which to me is cheating in the first place.
