My results for Stage 2...

Okay installed the 3 inch pulley and belt, and landed a astounding 246hp and 256lbs tq! Here the sheet. i then swiched over to a quick change pulley system from pulley boys. Tomorrow I will install and dyno the 2.8 inch pulley. Man this **** getting addicting!

Also heres some pics of the mods. Enjoy!

Oh yeah forgot to mention my theory on my torque gain. I think That the Ingalls ETD plays a much larger role to our engine then we give credit for. I think that we have gobs of torque but the soft motor mounts seem to be robbing alot more than we think. I let my buddy drive it and when he compared it to the time he drove it stock he thought it felt much more stout and incredibly responsive. Mabye Im repeating someelse but Im tired and worn. I'll post up the results from tomorrows pulls with 2.8 pulley.

I think your HP was FUDGED Up... YOu shouldnt be peaking at 6K, and you should be going up to 7K RPM. Had you done that you may have pulled even more horse power. Who ever dynoed your car FUDGED up.

Stiffer engine mountings will help you make more power, same as lighter tranny parts. Of course, it's still a trade off of how much vibration your willing to take.

What gear was the dyno done In? Temp.? Why are you not seeing 7,000 RPM. How was your base line 231 HP (Seems high)? Does this mean by adding an injen intake and stage 1 with 3" pulley you only made 15 HP & like 35 LB Torque? Im a little confused! Let me know if i'm missing something if not please exlpain.

looks like they stopped holding in the gas after 6k rpm. I would take it to a different dynojet. Looks like they are the sux0rs. nice numbers though.

Nice numbers. The Ingalls mount is surprisingly smooth. There are some minor vibrations you feel every so often, but it's rather smooth. Plus you can adjust in in minutes to make is soft so you don't feel anything. I believe it would help transfer more power to the ground.

A Dampner will not make a car have more power.

true, but it will make it so the engine doesn't twist in it's mounts so it applies more of the power it is capable of putting down. for example, instead of the energy being transferred into the mounts, more of it is being put to the ground.

try climbing a hill on a mountain bike with out a suspension fork, then do it with one. more of your power is robbed by the fork compressing each time you bear down and put your weight on it, rather than the system being stiff and your power going straight to the ground. some of the cross country forks have a switchable lockout specifically for this.

lost energy=lost hp

All pulls are done in 4th gear. Man no offense to the woman of this forum but you are acting like a bunch of chicks in sense that chicks are never satisfied, jeezzzz. oh well im going back this morning for couple pulls with the 2.8 pulley. Man gains are there i can feel them in the seat of my freakin pants.

Since the run is made in one gear with no shifts there will be no power lost to flexing mounts.

Any power loss is for a split second after the mounts move thay stay there until you shift again.

I would be careful of your AFR at the lower rpm's with a smaller pulley cause they are only going to get more lean. I would get a Maf-t or something to adjust and add more fuel to help that out. Good luck

during a pull, the engine presses harder and harder against its mounts, the more you keep it from moving, the more usable power it will put down. true, it does move more during shifts because it is pressed pressed pressed then unloaded suddenly all the way back to its starting point, then pressed and pressed again until it's again unloaded on the next shift.
