I found it best to put it in fifth gear wile taking the bolts loose. Although putting them back on didn't seem to work the same way. How did some of you get them tight? I am afraid they are going fall out out and loose my pulley. The stock bolts really suck and seem to be made of a really soft material. I could sure use some new ones Nate! hint hint J/K

I have an 18v impact driver, worked like a charm! Not to hard not to tight! But you are right, they are a very soft material!

Now your just showing off with that picture. Oh yeah, how do you like the GMPP manifold? Notice any difference? I didn't know you had that.

My bad!! When did you get your cobalt? Oh yeah, you didn't answer my post earlier about the manifold. How do you like it? Any gains?

For those that have the 2.85" pulley, how much boost are you seeing over the stage 2 pulley? With the stage 2 pulley I was seeing 15 pounds, and now with the 2.85" pulley I am seeing like 15.2. It just doesn't seem right.

I see at 7K in 3rd, 18-18.5 lbs of boost! You have to max it out before you will see it maximum boost!

And wallas, I like my manifold didn't really see much improvement, but I was completely stock when it was installed, so I have prolly just gotten used to it!

Weird. I ordered the bolts through Nate BTW guys, the blue ones just suck....already talked to my dealership about this situation, and they told me they didn't give a crap and was actually glad to see somebody mod a cobalt ss/sc around my area (everybody else keeps them stock). I know the service manager there btw and he's cool. He said though if something major did happen to the car just to keep all the stock parts so I could put them back on in case the people over them decided to snoop in one day. Again thank you for all your time and help with this.

Like I said, for one give your car time to relearn its new found power, and then max out 3rd gear and get back with us!

I see 15-16 almost instantaniously now, by 3000 rpm I am at 13-14 in 3rd!

I haven't had a chance to put in through the ringer in 3rd yet. All the roads around here are littered with cops. So my findings are from 1-2nd gears. That is good to hear I guess.

Yup, you will have to max out 3rd before you see max boost! I am generally speaking running from 12-17 lbs, just out getting up to highway speeds!

Check out the first page, I have instructions on there.

But all you need it a 15mm wrench, and the special "bit" from the stage 2 kit, and that is pretty much it!

Hey Nate, can I buy a set of your bolts? I didn't really think that the stage 2 bolts were as shitty as they were and didn't think I would need them when I ordered my pulley. I looked on ebay and saw that you did not have them listed for sale individually. What size tool do you need for those bolts?

I am also in the market for a new set of stage 2 bolts if anyone wants to sell a set.

I couldn't get the bolts very tight when I installed my pulley. Even when in gear the pulley wouldn't stop turning wile tightening. I just got them as tight as I could while holding the pulley with my other hand and left it at that. I was worried about in coming loose so i kept checking it over the week and it was fine, even after a trip to the track. But I 100% recommend that anyone that pics up one of Nate's pulley or any other companies pulley for that matter buy a set of his bolts. The GM stage 2 bolts suck!
