Need cooling mod

Wanna run a smaller pulley, already have the pulley. So I need like a heat exchanger.

Heard storys of some brands not fitting right.. so whats a affordable H/E that does fit correctly?

Pictures would be great! But Advice good too.

Thanks.

The OTTP H/E is the largest highest capacity version you can buy. Fits fine, doesn't sit too low and is pretty easy to install!

You'll be glad you did!

Its only 175$

Not a bad deal.

Is it ok to run a 2.9 pully after I install the h/e?

Yeah, you will be fine. Basically for every .10-.20" drop in pulley size is about 30* increase in IAT2s.

Give or take a little

^ Do you know anyone else running a 2.9 with only a H/E?

I havent really messed with the pulleys before. Just kept the stage 2 one.

Will I even be able to tell a difference?

How much coolent do you put in the H/E?
Or how often do you fill it up?

I ran a 2.85 on an h/e alone. ran great but on the 42# injectors they started getting pissed off.

A 2.9 on the S2 tune is fine, along with an H/E will just help keep temps down and lower temps mean more power!

Will you feel a difference iunno.... it depends!

I had the Cobra H/E and it added another half gallon or so of coolant but I didn't do straight coolant...

I did 70% distilled water, and 30% dexcool

60's but you need custom tuning after 42s and the stage 2 tune.

If you don't have a tuner locally just stick with what you got. Get an H/E and exhaust and intake work.

And have a good time!

I run the big cx racing HE, I had to trim the crash bar out and made my own brackets for it to fit. You cant tell from the outside. On the 2.9, my IAT2's are about 15-20* higher than IAT1's at WOT. On the 2.8, they are about 25* higher. It is not a bad job, search the how to section for a write up of how to plumb the HE in line with the stock unit. I think there is also a part list of what you will need in it as well.

this is incorrect, lower temps just means safer reliable combustion. Lower IAT's does not make more power do research, just helps keep you from blowing up.
