Need Help with HPtuners tune for meth!!!

Ok, I currently have HPtuners and my car has the Hahn stage V tune on it. My current mods are just the stage V with full Hahn Exhaust and high flow cat. I do currently have the tune that Aaron Gilbert @ Hahn sent me that I downloaded to my HPtuners. Now I have ordered from OTTP a progressive devils own meth kit w/tank and tb spacer. I plan on starting off with a 50/50 mix for the time being but I need help from someone with how to tune properly for this. I am still in the learning stages with the Hptuners and dont feel comforatable enough to try to do this on my own. If someone out there can help with my tune CORRECTLY without causing any damage to my balt I would appreciate that very much and I will even pay via paypal. I do realize that this first tune wont last long probably since I got the progressive kit and I plan on playing around once I have the experience with tuning myself. I just cant justify paying a guy $100 for a tune that might be on the vehicle for this mabye a month or so. Anyhow, just let me know if you what you are doing with hptuners and so on and I would be greatful. Thanks!!

Learn it. Log knock and a/f. Search hp tuners forums. Lots of information there.

tons of info... thats where i learned as well... once you get your tune dialed in without meth... hook up the meth and run it... afr should drop from lets say 11.5 to 10.5 or so... so that way u know things are working...

then from there you need to focus on your timing, ramp up the timing and moniter your knock VERY closly, start slowly and work your way up... you will need to keep in mind the afr and knock as you adjust timing...

as far as accually adjusting the timing... look on hptuners for some info... ull find it the info your looking for...

also try comparing files...

Ok, thanks guys. The reason I kinda wanted someone else to do this for me was because we are taking a 1500miles trip soon and as I said before I just dont trust myself enough to do this on my own. If I had more time before going on this trip then different story but someone with alot of experiense that could adjust my tune for me for the time being so I can make sure I get home safe is what Im kind of after at this point

A 50/50 mix with a turbo is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too much water.

Use a smaller meth nozzle as well.

What do you think shortstack for a mix? Like 75/25 or 90/10?? Pros/Cons of each way?

pretty sure you are in uncharted territory.

Why are you adding meth on your car, IMO it's risky to tune your car for meth when it can run out, or break.

That is true. But its a risk some people are willing to take.

The "its flammable" people really need to stop with that.

90/10 Is best due to the IAT2s already being cool as ****, so you dont need much water. The water is good for making sure the meth doesnt pre-detonate. You also dont need to spray the larger nozzles with the turbo either. 3gph would be fine.

Agreed, however for price and him wanting to be "conservative" a 50/50 mix wouldn't be a bad idea either. 90/10 costs more in the end, but is a better plan. I talked to him and he said he wanted to stay on the conservative side for timing, so if he's going to do that then we might as well keep it a 50/50 mix to save him some cash .

Thats true. But also remember, your using a smaller nozzle, so your spraying less ...

But the 50/50 will deffinatly save up the monies.

lol.Its only flammable when you go over a 50/50 mix. At 50/50 its not considered flammable anymore.

Another thing guys is that Im not worried about the monies here. If its better than I go stronger than a 50/50 mix then thats no issues. I dont have the knowledge about meth yet but if 75/25 or 90/10 would have some more benefits then I will go that way. Ive got so much damn money into this car at this point that paying a bit more for meth wouldnt be a big deal for myself.

90/10 Is a great mixture for the turbo application. You can still use alot of timing and not have to worry about heat because the turbo is THAT much more efficient. One guy who is helping me out actually has a lower IAT2 than his IAT. He is using 90/10. And since you are using a smaller nozzle, youll essentially be using less mixture overall.

Ok, so using meth actually has sooo many pros vs cons then. It increases the lifespan of your engine, power gains, running wayyyyy cooler, ect... Why isnt every balt owner here running meth again???
