need help slipped clutch really bad

i was racing the other day and i was dumping the clutch too hard causing it to slip really badly i could actually smell it burning it drove fine afterwards but im worried that i might've messed it up really bad would i need to replace it?

sounds like you glazed the clutch really bad, in my exp you can do this once, then leave it for 24 hours, and it should be fine. Our stock clutch is actually pretty tough

My civic clutch used to get glazed. I took it easy for a while and then it wouldnt slip under load. Try taking it easy for a while.

If you continue to slip it will need to be replaced eventually.

ok thanks i was just really worried that i wouldnt be able to drive it anymore without replacing the clutch because its my daily driver to school and what not thanks no more racing for me until i learn to shift right lol

just be careful, since our clutch catches just at the end you just gotta get use to gettin on it without slipping it too much

thanks lol i have a bad habit when im shifting really fast i tend to just slam it down and up again really fast and since it catches at the end it doesnt grab right

lol it happens. relax. why would u have to let it sit for 24 hours? what will that accomplish? Maybe just park the car immediatly after and let it cool off. but that doesnt take 24 hours. give it like 30 minuets and then get back in and drive it normal
