Need help understanding the stage 3 kit
ok heres the thing im new with all this. i recently got me a cobalt ss/sc and installed the stage 2 kit and was wondering about upgradeing to the stage 3 kit but was wondering about how it says the stage 3 kit if ment for off road use only but i was needing to know if you could use it for every day driving too? what i am doing is trying to make it like a race car but still use it for every day use any suggestions on what i should do or just stay with the stage 2 kit?

What it means by off road use only is because it has the ability to control nitrous and we all know that it isnt street legal and the kit will void your warrnaty, but you can still use it as a dd

ah thanks one more question i did some reading on the stage 3 kit i found out that by in stalling it the a/c will not work, and one of the main reasons for wanting to install the stage 3 kit was to get the adjustable rev limiter is there another kit or way to still get the adjustable rev limiter and keep my a/c?

There is a thread here some where, you would have to search for it .. but a guy who used to be a gm tech did a whole right up on the stage 3 kit with nitrous install and how to retain the ac .. but its not for the faint of heart .. it looked pretty tedious

One of the nice things about the stage 3 setup is that you can always swap your PCM. When daily driving use the stage 2 PCM and when racing or going to the track use the stage 3 PCM. Your other option, as stated before, would be to wire in a switch for the A/C.
No, not unless running nitrous becomes 50 state legal.

One thing of note is that your oil life is stored by the PCM so by swapping them you will not be able to use those features accurately so make sure you keep track using some other method.
