Need to Quiet Her down!

So i have a beast of an exhaust right now, which sets all the car alarms off in my complex, and has the rice like raspy import sound, when in the lower 2k-4k rpm. I just got the car and the consensus is i need to tone it down, Its a 2.5" cat back with hi flow resonator. Ive been told that the zzp whisper resanator, could help me out, but i am wondering if there is something else that could be better or if that would work fine. As soon as my Fiance' gets back and hears it im sure ill never hear the end of it, so i thought i would try to nip it in the butt early.

If you guys could lend your expertise i would be greatly appreciative .

im trying to figure something out as well. My exhaust it crazy loud and too raspy for me. I think that i am going to find some way to incorperate the whisper into the corsa catback somehow.

i hate the way my damn car sounds

i have a 3" catless down pipe and stock catback

it is so raspy... but i was thinking about getting a flowmaster 40 series muffler off a friend for 10 bucks

thought that may help a little but i still don't know

it will not help out at all,it will just make it rasp more top end...had the same muffler on my cobalt...i would reccommend the zzp whisper resanator, only reason i didnt buy it was cuz its kinda pricey for a resanator

You should do that if you want to make it 10 times more raspy

Suscribed for video's, I love my full vibrant exhaust.. it's just WAY to loud. I don't care about loud, but I do care about spending 90 bucks an exhaust ticket.

Try a Dynomax super turbo. A few of us local guys are running it. A little louder than stock. Cheap muffler too.

I could care less about the $100 fine, the rediculous part was the amount of time to put on all my stock parts, and go back and forth from the place that had to sign off that my car was legal. Biggest pain, i dont want to do that again!

haha my friends 1986 toyota pickup! Other then that i had a acura rsx-s come up next to me on the freeway trying to check out my badges, to see if he had a chance, i just downshifted and lost his ass in the traffic lol. I just ordered meth, the wideband is coming in, and the whisper resonator. once i get that all installed im heading down to grab a tune. then i may lay into some imports soon.

Put enough mufflers on it, and the rasp goes away! At least if you want to run catless. Mine was catless, and it took putting 3 mufflers on mine to get the sound that I wanted!

no no thank god lol! I had a mitsubishi eclipse before, and the downpipe to my cat back bolts were loose and it made the car sound like a truck. to make a long story short i got pulled over and had to revert back to stock or they would impound my car. so i dont want anything to do with too much noice lol

Don't use a high flow resonator, or go with a longer one.

the whisper is a long resenator, thats why its costs 100+bux..i guess if you keep the vibrant resanator thats on there now and add the zzp one,it will quiet it down

Dang.. i really dont mind the sound of the exhaust at wot but when im giving it an easy acceleration around 2-4k i get that nasty rasp. So do you think the whisper wont help me at those low rpms?

unfortunetly no...i still get that rasp down low with the whisper...heres the deal IMO
ur not going to get rid of the rasp with a header and downpipe..thats were the sound is comin from period...but the loud droning sound...the high decible sound is going to be muffled well with the whisper resonater...but atleast with that loud sound u dont have to hear the rasp ...
