Need some help with my 07 cobalt ss supercharged

So i just recently got a good deal on a 07 cobalt as supercharged. I did a fresh oil change and tune up on the car to be safe. My goal for the car is 500hp but not in a rush as I have a 850hp evo 9 already. I have never owned a cobalt ss supercharged so I'm doing my research to learn. So right now I am looking to get an exhaust for it and cold air intake.

so for an exhaust I dont like ricer style, raspy, fart can style exhaust. I like more of that deep sounding exhaust like a drag exhaust. I like loud cars but to a point it's not annoying. Here are some exhaust sounds I like even though there not cobalts. I just don't know what sounds perfect on a cobalt.

so this is a straight pipe cobalt ss turbo charged but I kind of like the sound. https://youtu.be/sl7usDGR0ME

I like this exhaust but idk if there is anything else that is close but for way less money. https://youtu.be/XisM5k3q31E

I love this exhaust sound of a 4g63t 2g dsm and it's not priced bad https://youtu.be/uhz2Ga7ifIU

I like this sound of a drag style exhaust on an evo https://youtu.be/E0iBEc1ebS0

I know neon srt4s have a unique sound to them but I like these exhaust sounds https://youtu.be/WrRr1XTwRl8

I hope some these links help. Again I am new to cobalts and I know the cars I posted are turbo but I figured I could possibly find a nice sounding exhaust close to those. I heard in the best zzp is good but from what I heard recently on YouTube of there exhausts they didnt sound nice but maybe that's the quality of the videos people posted. Then I know it's a hit or miss with going straight pipe but that first link of the turbo cobalt ss that was straight pipe didnt sound bad but who knows. I want a 3 inch exhaust system like this https://semotors.com/tsudo-2005-07-cobalt-ss-superchared-n1-catback-exhaust-lsj/?gclid=CjwKCAjwwMn1BRAUEiwAZ_jnErO1eg0SQpxvZMjBosP 5mZHTUrmKHNAcTCsZkhvGIsJZA-clmp2v4BoC7U4QAvD_BwE. Dont like the looks of the other style exhaust they dont have that look like the link. That is just a reference for the look.

Now for a cold air intake what route should I go that will look great, help the supercharger out and give me a little performance speed?

Any links or suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

ZZP exhaust, all the way. Resonated plus their muffler on a ss/sc sounds great imo. Stick with the 2.5" unless you plan to go turbo or TVS. Not really needed. Did you replace your heat exchanger pump?

Are you planning on keeping supercharged? 500whp is slightly harder to obtain on the SC. Very easily done if you turbo swap. As far as the exhaust, you will have to experiment. You are not going to find the same sound as turbo car with the Supercharged. ZZP exhaust sounds good, but in my opinion none of the SS/SC cars sound as good as straight piped SS/TC, and for the love of all things holy do not straight pipe it unless you turbo swap, I have heard a few straight piped SS/SC's in my time around and they all sound like trash.

ZZP Long tubes with 3" exhaust all the way back with high-flow cat, resonator, and muffler. The main mistake I think people make is that they can start deleting components like the cat or resonator and still maintain the sound. You need all 3 components to tame the rasp IMO.

Thanks. I really can only use first to get the car rolling and really have to feather the throttle but after second I can pretty much hammer down with good tires. With all seasons I can still break them loose in third if I hammer down too fast.

Very impressive races especially against the old school truck and Corvette

So after looking into it more I didnt know the supercharger or any supercharger for that matter won't be good for 500hp on the ss. So I'll go turbocharged down the line. Maybe a stage one or two would be fine for the turbo setup. Is it better to get everything piece by piece or from a company as a kit? I know they say stay away from things sold on ebay but is there any kits on there that are worth getting. I know a totally different car but on a 90-99 eclipse gst or gsx or 90-98 eagle talon tsi you can upgrade to about 400hp for about $2000. Is that possible on the cobalt ss? I know I read and was told the lsj is a better motor then the lnf motor from the turbo charged ss and can handle the turbo upgrade. Also I want to get an exhaust that will sound nice on the supercharged setup and sound even better when I go turbocharged. Dont want to have to replace the exhaust twice

ZZP offer turbo kits for the LSJ engine. Here is the link. If you are going turbo, than a 3 inch exhaust is what you want. If your staying supercharged for now I wouldn't bother doing anything until you are for sure what direction you want to take your vehicle. If you want to do a cheap mod throw a muffler on your stock exhaust for now Magnaflow or Flowmaster.

To kit or not to kit depends on the balance between saving time and saving money. I think ZZP's kits are pretty good value.

Yup once I get all my suspension upgrades done on my G5 GT I'm probably going to get the supercharger kit from them.

I started with their kit and an M62 on my stock L61. When you first start out and don't know anything about the setup, trying to source all the parts can be very overwhelming because you don't even know what you need for sure.

Yeah exactly if I can piece the kit together locally I would buy it that way but they don't come up for sale very often.

Shameless plugging, but I still have my m62 + manifold and an LSJ TB still sitting in my closet. You'll need the base kit from ZZP though.
I have my air intake for sale as well: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/part...l-2-4l-328682/
