I guess i have a PCM from the wrong year? i cant tune the car with HP tuners because i have an 06 ss/sc and that year car needs an 06 PCM? I guess other year cobalts are fine with different PCMs. the car runs and drives but i just cant tune it. so, where do i get an 06 PCM for a ss/sc?

 

What happens when you read the tune or cant you do that either. Would expect it to give you a warning on wether or not the ecu year or vin you have is unlocked.

Do you have the newest beta of hptuners and not sure if you have to update to net 4.0.

Can you give us a little more detail on whats going on. Your statement is not really 100% clear. Or are you saying you have an 07 ecu on a 06 car?

 

did you unlock that pcm in addition to your old one? or have 2006 tottally unlocked?

after your put the new pcm in, you can read it, purchase credits/unlock pcm, then change VIN
