New H/E fixed bouncing revs?

New H/E fixed bouncing revs?
Got my ZZP S3 kit in the mail today.
Of course I got the S3 H/E..
Installed it..
buuuuut...
BEFORE I had it...
When I first started my car, my revs would like bounce from like 800-1200..
and..
Say I was on the highway cruising at 70, and was going to get off the highway, so I dropped it into neutral and just coasted.. that thing would BOUNCE, baad.. like.. 800-2200...
Same thing in town, going about 30, drop it into neutral, and it was bouncing.. like 800-1600...
So I installed it... and now my car NEVER bounces..
It's like... the Heat Exchanger fixed this? and I don't understand it..
Don't get me wrong, i'm totally fine with it and i love it aha, but I don't get how it fixed it.. and my car is quieter at idle?
& here's this picture of it finally installed..
