New Parts

I just installed a JBP Vortex intake, CA down pipe with hi-flow cat and magnaflow cat back system. NOt only does the exhaust sound nice and deep and the whine is crazy. The amount of in the seat power inprovemnet is great. This is with the air very hot and humid in NY right now. I am driving out to Intense at the end of the summer for a complete Stage 5 with a custom Tune. I will keep you all posted on the results

got a question, i noticed you got the stage 2 gm kit and im guessing the stage 1 because you have to have the injectors from the stage 1 kit. but how big of a power gain did you notice after you got it installed?? i was supposed to get the stage 1 and 2 installed today but parts didnt come in and now im gonna have to wait till they get in and im trying to get an idea of how much quicker its gonna be.

I noticed a bid difference. I have yet to get a dyno so I have no idea what the ture out put is but it is a very big noticable change. I would search the stage 2 reflash on here. I did and got the updated flash also and that helped.

did you do that because when gm tunes it, it runs rich?? if thats the case i plan on solving that by getting a little smaller pulley to make it run at a proper air/fuel ratio and than maybe getting a cooler thermostat if ones available.

Yup that is why i did it. I knew it would be awhile before I would get out to Intense to do the rest of the work. It will be about a year and a half from the point that i got the stage 2 installed and when i get to Ohio in a few months. I didnt want it to run that rich for that long.

I wouldn't say rich...its been my understanding that the stage 2 reflash is still alittle on the lean side with the 42's. I have a similar tune, but I'm running a 2.9 pulley. My buddy and I compared the tune that i'm using, to the stage 2, and while their are minor differences, its pretty much the same.

stage 2 is awesome, but I find myself not getting on it as much as when it was stock...heh, I guess since I know the powers there...no real reason to show it off. Hope that helps

How in goods name did you get that header on? I think you are the first to be satisfied with it.

Not too sure what your talking about no header yet.

I have had it for a week on the car. I first got it a few months ago but it was not fabricated correctly. I sent it back and they got me the right one. Only problem is that I sent it back 2 day air and it took almost 3 weeks to get back to me. It is great though. Nice sound big increase in power and i like the black on black look.

Nobody has got that header to fit on their car. Since you did maybe you can do a how to and a review.

This might be a stupid question but if you get a 2.9 pulley can you use the same belt off of the sg 2?

The JBP intake eh... LoL, I have it too. What parts of your car did you cut to make the intake fit properly? Do you have any rubbing anywhere?

I sent it back to JBP and they made a new one. So it fit perfectly the second time around. They also g\ave me a few rudder spacers that I glued in at the rub points and that fixed everything.

I was thinking about the JBP header but I am going to INtense in a few months so I am going to get thiers.
