WHy wouldnt you reccomend me going with a new manifold?

because I have it. if you want it come swap it out with yours. I have had nothing but problems since it was put on. Now My downpipe and cat are toasted and I can't really drive my car. Nobody else seems to have the same problems, but I wouldn't have done it if I new this crap could happen.

There is no way to get directly passed the O2 sensor. even if you mount it out further the thing will still get a reading. It is like being in a jar and filling it with exhaust and then running more exhaust through the jar. The sensor has no choice but to read the exhaust. spacing it out further will do nothing except be indirectly in of the path of exhuast. So regardless were it is place it will read the exhaust. Catalytic converters have catalysts inside of them to break up carbon monoxide into carbon and oxygen. so anything short of a catalytic converter and you will just have o deal with the check engine lights or completely take the whole thing out. and get the same result.

Actually it will work because it is changing the sampling area. I am wondering if he did this to the right O2 sensor.

the right o2 sensor. Y would i do it to the one infront of the cat. it doesn't care if the cat is there. How stupid do I sound..
