Sorry this is a new question but what is an airbox mod? and what does it do?

Cut off your factory airbox after the MAF sensor, and put an air filter on it, such as AEM or Spectre or something. It brigns in much more air than stock and is alot louder, making your supercharger whine more. The stock airbox is quiet and restrictive. Doesnt flow very well through it. Removing that and putting on a high flow filter will bring in almost as much air as an aftermarket CAI. And if you leave the MAF alone, you wont have any codes.
