NOS Intercooler Sparybar Kits?

So no one really looks in the nitrous forum so I'm posting this here .

http://www.holley.com/products.asp?product=16034NOS

What do you guys think of this kit? It just sprays onto the intercooler and not actually into the motor. Could this screw anything up and what other information/mods do you need to consider when looking at a kit like this?

The Cobalt SS/SC uses an air-to-water intercooler which is mounted on the intake manifold. The component you see mounted to the front of the car is a heat exchanger.

Our intercooler can't be "sprayed" onto, and I don't think spraying no2 onto the heat exchanger would make any difference either.

You can try running water injection instead.

I personally think there might me a slight chance in hell this will work, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

this mod will make negligable difference. water injection is much more suitable for our vehicles

a few people tried it w/ their GTPs. Nitrous is too expensive to use as an intercooler sprayer. If anything, CO2 should be used. Its almost as good and a hell of a lot cheaper. There were minimal results from GTP owners. One sprayed it too long and actually froze the liquid and cracked his core. On an A/A, this would be a good mod to battle heat soak, on a A/W, its not that good. Youll get a little improvement, but unless you make this kit yourself for cheap, its not worth it.

Your better off just using a wet shot to lower intake temps.

Does this system reside INSIDE the air to air intercooler or outside? I can't imaging spraying nitrous onto the intercooler from outside, what a waste of nitrous.

yes, this is supposed to spray on the outside of the IC to cool the heat exchanger and to coll down the fluid in the IC. This is adapted from a traditional A/A IC application. However, the results arent as great and really are a waste of money.

Co2

Is anyone actually running Co2 on their SS? If so, what kind of kit are you using, and can you actually feel the extra 50HP?

Its chemically impossible to have NO2 since oxygen is a diatomic molecule.
nitrogen + oxygen = nitrousoxide
N + O2 = N2O

I could feeel an extra 50 HP but I doubt that you could get 50HP from that mod on our cars, on another 500 HP turbo beast I could see you getting 50 HP.

Yeah I enquired w/ NX as well as NOS, they said it's not worth the money to purchase since we have air to water intercoolers, except..they said it in a more "technical" way haha.

Our intercooler sits between our supercharger and intake manifold, how on earth would anyone find a effiecient cooling way to spray CO2 on it without it running through the intake system?

Short answer: NO
