NOT a boost bypass mod question.........
NOT a boost bypass mod question.........
But, we were at the track the other day and my buddy had problems with his car. A guy came over and helped us fix it...(long story). The guy apparently was the man in town who built turbo this and supercharged that.....seemed very literate and knowing. He suggested taking the hoses on the bypass valve and switching them so the bbv stays closed...in effect the s/c doesnt bypass. He did it then and there. The s/c sounded different and sure enough the s/c made a more noticeable noise and the bbv closed.
So question. Anyone tried this? I noted no more boost but it went into boost WAY quicker. Any input?

its easy, with it closed, when you start getting into boost, the mod is now not letting any boost go elsewhere so therefor causing it to get boost faster.. some will go into much more detail on this, but thats the easiest way to explain it.
yep. so whats the up and down side here?
well, im not an expert on that, but i will say whats common knowledge here. a bypass valve was put on there for a reason, im sure it couldnt be a good thing to do for an extended period of time. someone will come on here that knows more about that specific thing than me, so stay tuned for info.
