I dk with our cars being stock you really dont but i would, the only reason you need to run 93 in a modified motor is to keep from detonation

My car ran like **** on 89 so I stick with 93 only. My advice would have been to just fill half a tank and then fill the rest with 93.

You can run it on less than 93. It says on in the owner's manual that you can. It says though that you'll notice a difference in performance if you do so.

It won't run 100%...don't push your motor and when you get a chance put 89 or 93 back in it. It's not that big of a deal like it's going to tear up your motor or something, just don't do it on a constant basis and you'll be fine.

I've been putting in 89 rather than 87. Does 93 show that big of a difference? I've noticed better gas mileage w/ 89 than 87 as well.

There is a gas station that has 110 octane up the street from me for $4.69 a gallon....

Which is entirely un-necessary....

I'd say 89 would be sufficent for stock, and with maybe stage II, or intense stages, go to 93.

I'd be careful with that 110, its most likley leaded. Leaded fuel = 1 F*$#ED up cat! Unfortunatly 104 unleaded race gas is $10.20 a gallon!!!

I was thinking once I get the modds I wont done I am going to run c16 gas through it one day at the track I think that is 104octain. but I have always put 93 in my car even though the guy at the dealership said to put 87 in it because that was how the car was tuned to run. but before I filled up for the first time I checked the MANUAL and it said not to put anything less then 91 in it.. so the guy at the dealership didn't know **** so I always check the MANUAL on things.

Do u have the SS/SC SS/NA or the 2.2 engine, if u have the SS/SC you should try to use 93 whenever possible, if you have the 2.2 87 is fine and in the 2.4 I dont know what is recommended

That is exactly right for the 2.0. It says nothing less than 87 though.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! If you do that say good by to your cat! If you want the 104 unleaded its C10, trust me I talked to fuel guy at my race track for 20 minutes before buying it, just to make sure it was unleaded. Plus you can smell if its unleaded, leaded smells sweet, almost makes you wanna drink it, unleaded smell sour and kinda burns your nose.

Right^
But leaded smells sweet. I love that smell.

If you still have a catt you wont for long if you use leaded fuel in your car. Even if its just for one day!
