There needs to be a warning put up with any tune posted. All tunes should be used with discretion. Two cars in the exact same conditions may require different tuning. A tune created by someone in Indiana may not work for someone in California. All too often people just flash a tune to the car without any hesitation. I won't post tunes here. I have a lot of them but I don't want soemone blaming me when they blow their car up.

I wont post a thing here either...my tunes are dangerous if not used properly with the right prep and are not to be used by someone with minimal experience...We just had a huge conversation on this over at RL forums. You should not even be tuning your car without a properly hooked up and datalogged wideband yet I see that many do.

Im sticking with the same reasons as Pat...I personally feel as tho this forum (in general except for a few people) is not mature enough to have a tune swapping thread...just my opinion.

If they blow up their car its their problem, but i think that we could get some pretty dam good tunes by swapping information

I am going to get a few tunes that even dummies can use, a stock tune that is a slight improvement but safe 42lbers tune and a 60lbers tune

Nothing dangerous, just general tunes that will in example let you run 60lbers, with nothing more changed than the fuel ratio

And with this thread i am hoping that maybe a select user can say hey could someone do this to this tune such as disable the rear ot sensor on the baseline 42lbers thread, we could do it and pm that person the tune file

Its not the point for people to steal your tune and use it. It helps with comparing your tune to others. You can see different timing and fuel mapping people are using. You are exactly correct no one should be tuning blindly. Its really not your problem is someone uses something close to your tune and there car blows up. They should know that they may need to tweak and tune it to there location and car. Pretty much every forum has an area where people can compare tunes with other people. How is someone that is new to tuning learn about it if everyone keeps all of there thoughts ideas and trial and errors bottled up. At least they have a stepping stone to see if that is something they might even want to consider tackling on there own or if they are just going to bring it in somewhere and pay someone to tune it

Swapping tunes to share a cool/new idea is alright, but actually learning how to tune over an internet forum would prolly be bad. Its a skill best taught in person, explained in detail by someone qualified with the software. Just IMO.
