Pray to the LSJ Gods lol? Like was said most people will pop the stock cast piston well before the head gasket or rods. GM ran the stock rods and HG's in their 600+ drag engines. It's mostly in the tune, just keep it safe and don't rag on it.

I don't understand how people with the TVS are making <300hp. Spend all that money and you can't even hit 300. On meth too? That's beyond ridiculous

Ehhh. Who knows. A 2.6" setup is real decent. With E85 it will do almost 300.

The TVS is still a very venerable piece though. The powerband is fantastic, and it will often pull on cars with more overall power. I'd put the win on a ~300whp TVS car over a ~300whp M62 car or a ~340whp turbo car.

I bought my TVS used, and then sold a collassal ass ton of old parts, so I didn't really spend that much on my setup. Now I just need to run E85.

hmmm. well I'll post up a dyno sheet as soon as I have a proper one. I know that unlike most M62 LSJ's, mine get's power all the way through to 7500 rpm's. It's strange, but I do. I don't have any valve float that high either.

I wish i couldve gotten a TVS but I don't have the cash to throw it on top of all the stuff I have right now. If I had one, I'd be making well over 300

Well wait a while. ZZP is releasing an M90 kit sometime in the future, so that will either meet/surpass the TVS hopefully, or at least drive down the cost of one or the other.

yeahhhhh I'm gonna chill on my current setup. I chilled with just my GMS2 for a year and then went to this setup. I think waiting all that time makes me appreciate the new setup.

M90s really are garbage. MP90s are much better. I might have a custom kit being made up with an MP90

There you go. Good stuff. Just hopefully they won't be too big of a blower for the engine, although it's already been ran before.

Here's the ZZP thread. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/zz-p...90-lsj-227401/
