Like the title says. Tried 3 different o rings and still does. Seems like its fine and ull see the ring start bulging out and start leaking. Anyone know why this would happen?

Only the Green O-ring on the cap would cause a leak unless the cap itself is cracked. Order the oilfilter with cap and you should be good to go.

Just check and see if you have two o-rings on there noob. Unless you took an impact gun to your oil filter cap and cracked it lol.

I dont see how the O ring could bulg out seeing that the O ring is seeted under the bottom side of the cap, unless the caps cracked or cross threaded.

My oil filter housing developed a crack due to poor casting and GM refused to warranty it. I had to pay out of pocket to have it welded.

I bet you have the same problem. There have been plenty of reports on here of porous blocks, only on ours the problem is on the outside.

u have the wrong oring, and or it is not in the correct groove. it doesnt go all the way to the top of the cap. there is a groove maybe 1/8th of an inch from the top that the oring rest in.

it does NOT go flush to the top....there is a groove about 1/8th down from the top of the cap.

Yeah looks like the wrong o-ring. Shouldn't stick out that much. Should go in one of the grooves near the top and stay there as you tighten the cap.
