Hey guys (and gals), well I had a little run with a friend in a G35, and when we both slowed down to a light i could smell oil. It just smelled like raw synthetic oil out of the bottle, not burnt or anything. I stopped at the nearest lit place to look under my hood, no oil anywhere, dipstick was in, and no oil on the ground. Car runs fine, no missing or anything. I am getting near an oil change(well now doing it tomorrow), and am going to check it for any kind of metal or something. But the smell has gone away, and still no oil leaks. Any ideas, just from beating on it some or possible ring land or worse going? Thanks!

 

were you beside an oil shop when you smelt it ???? cause if ur not seeing anything and it wasnt burt there isnt much i can think of

 

lol no on a back road in the woods, my friend yelled out the window saying he smelled it too. Ill check it out again in the morning when I change the oil. thanks!
