I'm currently trying to fix someone's tune here in germany that has/had OTTP stage 2. I'm having problems as it is just pig rich. It just pegs 10.0 afr. Other than that, it is a decent tune, but man it just dumps fuel.

x2!!!! PO172(fuel trim too rich) comes up on my car almost everyday lol. I'm getting tuned once all my cooling mods are installed. Neither canned tune is wayyy better than the other. They are meant to be safe. Get a custom tune. Thats you're best bet

Wow, that's richer than most of the GM Stage 2 tunes I've seen.

yea I know, his wideband doesn't read past 10.0, so he's even richer than that to be honest. I got scans of his car, it's crazy.

I'm running that tune with meth hooked up! Mine pegs out at 10.0 also and was there before the meth Lol. I'm paitently waiting for my tuner to get this thing dialed in but he seems to be having too much fun in his new Camaro SS

I thought OTTP's Stage tunes ran 11.6-11.8 A/F ratios. I'm shocked by this.

IMO every car with a canned tune should get it tuned into their car.

Yep, I agree. I am buying a pcm from them tuned for a 3.0 and 42's. I need something that will run the car lol. I am leaning towards ottp as they have the pcms in stock.

OTTP stage 2 tunes do command a 11.8 across the whole table the maf just has to be dialed in.

His PE is commanding 11.8, but he is not getting it. I think the Maf is just WAY off.

Not a fan of OTTP tunes. I had mine custom tuned, but I watched my tuner trying to retune another Cobalt that had a tune from OTTP, and it was also pig rich. With full exhaust, intake, 2.8, etc, that car only laid down 210 whp. The tuner tried everything he could, but couldn't retune it because OTTP's PCM was locked. After multiple attempts via phone and email, neither the tuner or the customer ever heard back from OTTP. This was well over a month ago. Customer ended up having to drive 2 hours back home and eventually ordered a new PCM from ZZP.

Get a custom tune and be done with it. Mail order tunes are "get me by" tunes.

I hope to god I can't help this guy out over here in Germany. It would really suck if the PCM is locked. Doesn't seem to be so far, I seem to be able to change whatever I want, but I for sure can't get the damn car to lean out. I've even changed all the adder tables to 1.0 just to see if it would read PE only and it won't.

its odd that it is running so rich. i have flashed several cars with ott stage 2 tunes for people that bought them and the cars run great. a tad rich at idle but that is easily fixed. i have actually never had to scale the MAF at WOT with an ott stage 2 tune. it has always been spot on a 11.8 to 11.9AFR

not this car. It's OTTP stage 2, and it doesn't run anywhere close to the commanded AFR during WOT. His cruising and idle AFR is kind of all over the place as well.

It just kills me that flattening out the adder tables still does nothing. I can't get his car to stop flatlining 10.0 afr no matter what I try. I've got Jimbo taking a loot at the tune to see what he thinks. If anyone else wants to try to help, I can email you the tune.

Do you know what it actually was reading at WOT throttle before you started tuning it? Just curious how rich this tune actually is.

Yea, I took a scan, it pegged 10.0.

I changed the adder tables, it pegged 10.0.

I changed some diagnostics, it pegged 10.0.

I changed the PE multiplier to 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, it pegged 10.0 everytime.

It's crazy, cause he has ZERO knock, and he can run 19degrees flat no problem. Just crazy rich.

fuel trims have to be dialed in as well. the tune i am sending you might still be a little rich at idle but cruising and WOT should be close enough

I would hope that the fuel trims are dialed in on ottp stage 2.

Blazin, if your tune doesn't work, I'm going to modify the tune I had on my car and try it. Mine was super aggressive, but I can back it down.

I just tuned a kid from San Antonio whose OTTP tune made his car peg 10 AFR. The MAF table was way off, that's all. Surprisingly enough, his friends are Trifecta dealers, and when Vince tuned him it did the same thing and he's been waiting on a retune for weeks. >_>

Bottom line; it's a canned tune, go figure. Just take a bunch off the MAF table and you should be g2g broski.
