The 05 and 06 use the same ecu. Looks like there will be changes with the 07 from what ive heard. They havent released stage 2 for the 07 because of it.

So, will the high idle tsb fix the problem with the GM Stage Kit and will all cars experience it? and what exactly is the problem with the stage kits?

The problems vary. Some people have had very weird idle issues and vehicles stalling intermitantly. There was actually a new post created today regarding that.

I have actually only had a stalling problem once, but I think that was my fault because I stalled the car initially by not paying attention and not giving enough gas starting up. Then, when I tried starting it, it just turned over for the 15 second interval and didn't start. Tried starting it again, it started up, idled rough and stalled again. Got it back up and running, drove for two hours and havn't had many issues since regarding stalling.

I have; however, had the bogging issues at low RPM's in 1st and 2nd gears when city driving. I'm going to the dealership saturday morning to get the update and I'll let you all know how I make out.

Just called the dealership. The TSB# isn't listed because it's still a preliminary notice. Or so he says...The document # is 1861176. The preliminary # on it is PIP3891A

just did the upgraded flash, first to second shifts are smoother for me anywayz, and accelerating seems cleaner, i also have an aftermarket intake, so the flash is helping the car run better, hopefully everyone with similar problems gets similar results.

the flash has nothing to do with the engine or any exterior part outside of the cab. they open your door turn on the car pull the codes turn off the car flash the new codes turn on the car and your on your way

Owners of 2006 Cobalt SS Models equipped with the Cobalt Performance Accessories Stage 2 Kit may experience an intermittent idle surge, "Service Engine Soon" light, and DTC P0507 set in the vehicle's PCM.

A revised calibration is currently being developed and is expected to be available to all GM Dealers on 09/04/06, as well as be included on TIS CD #9.

I work in the Parts room at the GM dealership in my hometown. If I receive another note I will post if everyone wants

Hope it helps

This is off subject but can you look into the clutch issues?
