Pacesetter Question.

If I were to get the Armor coated one that requires a bit of welding, what downpipe will work with this header?

pacesetter's is made to work with the stock cat , you are required to cut the stock pipe at the weld on the cat case , which should open the cat to 3" , stock pipe is 2 3/4"

pacesetters header is longer than a header that replaces the stock manifold

so you would have to have a shop custom make you a down pipe , or modify 1 that is out there

You dont need one, the pacesetter is a 3"

With the pacesetter header you get both the header and the downpipe, which connects to the stock exhuast just before the cat converter. Just like Eric stated.

2.4 has no ETA yet, the 2.0 is due out about August 15th but there is no estimated date yet on the 2.4L VVT.

No, the cat back (Magnaflow) connects after the cat converter. The header connects just before the cat converter. So if you would do the pacesetter header and magnaflow cat back, you will still have the stock cat converter in place. This is done due to emissions.

Ok I did some thinking. What if I get the pacesetter, install a testpipe where the cat is supposed to be and use the 2.5 flange from the stock cat and weld it to the end of the test pipe so I can still use my magnaflow? Then weld the end of the header to the other end of the test pipe.

That sounds like it would work.
