had my car parked all week when I was at work , Decide to drive it on the weekend and it out of the blue stalls Power reduced , engine disabled , I take it to my mechanic and it gives me error code " p0601 internal control memory check sum error " I'm pretty sure that's my PCM gone or going bad . Now my question is before I burn it in traffic if it stalls at a light again aha !

1) Is it my PCM for sure ?
2) GM wants 415$ plus programming Im sure after market has a better price then that . I see ZZP has an entire stage 2 kit for less then that . Looking for some opinions Please !

** 2005 cobalt SS , stage 2 mods not sure of everything cause I bought the car used .
