Performance Questions

Hey I am looking for my next project. I was thinking of getting an exhaust and a Dual Pass Intercooler End Plate. My question is what in your opinion is the best exhaust to go with and is the Dual Pass Intercooler End Plate worth the money? Thanks for the help.

go Gm all the way. I love my exhaust, and it only costed around $350 for a GMPP cat back

2x I am contemplating doing the Dual Pass Intercooler End Plate as to keep IAT's down...
this should keep my power delivery consistant during track events correct?

BTW... i have the GMPP honed exh. manifold and GMPP performance exhaust, worth every penny

exhaust is personal preferance... everyone will tell you that the one they got is the best, and will even provide reasons for it... that's why they got it... search for the exhaust thread and you can hear clips and pick which one you think is the best.

I have the dual pass on my car. I haven't logged IAT2 temps yet to see how they are, but hopefully I will be able to do it next week. I would say it is definately worth doing especially if you are running a smaller pulley. It IS, however, a pain in the ass to do. If you plan on doing the install yourself make sure you plan out all the tubing and all the parts you need so you don't have to run to the store 10 times. Since GM found it necessary to GLUE the F***ING hose clamps to the hoses it is a real PITA! Other then that though I had no problems.

I also have the GM extruded honed exhaust manifold and GM performance exhaust and like them both. There are lots of choices out there, so do some research and pick which you like best.

I also am in the process of porting a stock manifold, will post up pics when I'm done. Did it on my car, works nice, and will be much cheaper than the GM one. I don't just smooth out the inside, i open up the ports and collector and remove any cast bumps, like the ones on the top of each port for the bolt recess, that would block the flow.

Just a thing to remember, if your looking to keep your warranty 100% intact, use only GMPP on your car.
