Piston Install
Ok everyone knows thats the weak point in this motor, so heres my problem, I cant afford any downtime, I dont know how to do it, I don't trust any local shops around here with a domestic. I don't have the cash to get another motor and build it seperately.
So who on the eastern half of the US can do this in a reasonable amount of time. I'm concerned with durability I dont want something like a ring going bad a month later. Theres 20k on the motor not sure how that factors into things.
How involved is this, is it just getting a lift dropping the pan and removing the crank and walla?

You have to pull the head pan f engine cover. The engine is pretty much all appart. The total seal rings are file fit and I had to have the rods small end bore resized to fit the diamond piston pin.The pistons only break when you have detonation. Other than that I wouldn't worry about them.
