k here it goes, i wanna do it the lazy way and not pull the motor, lol, i know ,retarded, but if i get the motor out itll be a gong show putting back in lol, so what im looking at is, i want to replace my pistons with the diamond pistons, so i can have forged pistons, will i be able to hone, and re install them, while my engine is still in the car, lol, i work near a mechanics shop so the car can be pushed there, lol to be honed, also,
a quick question about the blower, is it okay to powder coat it, and how much heat will it trap in,
i have a nice gt28r bb turbo, numerous chunks of 2.5 inch madrel bent U's, a nice sized intercooler, and a ecotec flange to make my own custom header
i was just gonna do the turbo swap, but i figured ill try the twincharge way 1st, i knwo its a lot of custom fabbing but i got lots of time

My blower is powdercoated black, it looks pretty good. I have'nt had any problems w/ overheating...yet.

I'm a tech at at a GM dealership, GM says that new rings are not required with piston replacement. We have done pistons in hundreds of 3.1's without any issues. I uderstand why you would want to though.... considering your looking for those power levels.
well i picked up a spare block today buddy of mine had to replace his block cuz the dealership said it was easier than to pull the sleeve, so im gonna replace all 4 sleeves and im gonna order up some mahle pistons 9:5:1
and i guess sometime thise winter i have the joy of pulling my motor and going hard, maybe its time for cams too
